2007 Primitivo

From Coyote Canyon Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, our Primitivo is a bold and boisterous wine, loud and proud.

The Primitivo provides blackberry and pepper highlights on the nose, while a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon gives rise to a smooth middle palate and tasteful tannic finish. This wine is deep, drinkable, and delicious.

"...Jeff Jones has made the best bottle [Washington Primitivo] that we have tasted so far. Perhaps it’s because 4% Cabernet Sauvignon was used to shore up the back end of the 96% Primitivo. Our 2007 Syrah, with just a touch of Viognier, is similar in style to the wines of Northern Rhone. Starting with a soft floral nose, this wine combines silky smooth fruit with mellow tannins on the finish. Both rich and reserved, isn't it time you enjoyed a little R&R?

Our Wyld Syrah had a mind of its own and wanted to ferment with its own yeast so we let it. Using the natural yeast from the vineyard, Mother Nature bubbled the wine into a fermenting frenzy. Big, bold, wyld.
